CASE STUDIES
944 Magazine
Architecture and Design Issue
Supermarket was hired to produce and concept an event to celebrate 944's architecture and design issue. Since 944 only has one issue a
year released for architecture and design, it was important for them to make a big splash and position their issue as relevant in the design
world. Keeping within the integrity of the magazine, and incorporating elements of design and architecture were key. Supermarket Creative
created the Swank Series. For the issue release in 2008, the first of the Swank Series was Lewis Caroll's Mad Hatter's Tea Party.
Together with Miami International University’s Interior Design Department, Swank featured a curated installation by David Blanco and Billy
Jurgen with home furnishings, products and accessories from local cutting edge stores BASE, MOOOI, Marimekko and Avant Gallery. Front
Management Models brought the Mad Hatter's character's to life with the help of the reigning styling agency Blink Management, which included Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Doormouse and the Hare.
Special performances for the evening included Life Project, the Aussie-duo of lyricist and vocalist Angie Giles and her nephew-producer Patrick Giles, who are executive produced by BASE mastermind Steven Giles. Performing in the Café Bustelo lounge was Miami’s Soul Man Big Brooklyn Red. DJ Lauren A. started the party and kept the party goers for hours. The crowd then followed to the after party at the hip, new venue Heathrow Lounge.
Contributing sponsors included Creative Mafia Advertising + Photography, CuisineWorksEvents, Vitamin Energy, Café Bustelo, Peroni, Stella’s Sweet Shoppe,
SBK, Krelwear, Rella Jewelry and Smart Water.

As a result of the spectacular event we received over 60 new memberships and many upgrades on current memberships. The Bass Museum strives to add something new and different to the Miami Beach experience--and it's the support from phenomenal organizations such as 944 Magazine and Supermarket Creative that makes it happen,” Lee Ortega, Director of Marketing and PR for Bass Museum of Art

“Michelle Leshem” worked with Lucky & GQ Magazines for the Calvin Klein Lifestyle Store Opening event in Aventura, Florida in May 2008. Michelle was a huge asset to the great success of the event, linking the magazines up with Miami’s “who’s who” while ensuring the back end marketing and event elements were taken care of flawlessly. After the event Michelle secured significant press, exceeding the client’s expectations and establishing the Calvin Klein boutique as a must-shop destination.
